Requirements for Admission to YTI

A diploma from an accredited high school, General Education Diploma (GED), or equivalent is the basic requirement for admission. Applicants are admitted on the basis of previous scholastic record as evidenced by an official transcript of work completed in high school or college.

The Career Services Department assists students and graduates of YTI with the following services:

Part-Time Employment:
A Part-Time Employment Specialist will help students find a position that works with their school schedules.

Career Seminars and Professional Development:
Learn to develop effective job search strategies and create written correspondence needed for obtaining employment. Examples: Creating a Resume and Cover Letter, Interview Preparation.

Externships:
An externship provides students with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and apply the skills they have learned at YTI. YTI places a priority on its externship program and Externship Coordinators work to assist students in finding positions.

On and Off-Campus Interviews:
Employers make ongoing requests to see resumes and meet with qualified YTI candidates.

Career Fairs:
Each year YTI holds Career Fairs at the school. It's a great way for students to meet employers and obtain career information.

Employer Presentations or Corporate Visits:
This is an excellent way for students to learn more about their chosen career field and make connections.
